Working together, they found a raft of logs by the riverside. The Monkey lashed the logs together with vines, the Rooster guided them from above, and the Goat used its steady strength to paddle. Together, they crossed the river safely.
The Order of Arrival
The Jade Emperor was pleased to see such cooperation. When the three reached the finish line together, they graciously arranged their order: the Goat crossed first (eighth place), followed by the Monkey (ninth), and then the Rooster (tenth).
Each deferred to the others, but ultimately the Goat was given priority because its calm presence had kept the group together during difficult moments.
